    Jamaica is a suspension lamp designed by Marc Sadler for Foscarini.

    How can you make a poetic, solar and cheerful a neon tube, often perceived as a cold object and devoid of personality? For example, wrapping it in an irregular manner from a tape, to create multiple effects of transparencies, and bright overlapping cuts. In the name as in appearance, the Jamaica pendant lamp gives a feeling of warmth, lightness and joy of living.

    An emotion generated by its soft suspended volume, obtained from a sheet of paper covered with a thin layer of polymer, which gives an appearance and a materiality similar to a parchment, and coiled around a central axis, wrap it completely but without engaging bottom to the housing of the light source, free to directly illuminate the floor below.

    Unique in concept, Jamaica contains a dual light source: a direct and intense downward, the other soft and diffused all around, both hidden from view. New and transversal, can be placed in very different environments in size and style: from single to feature a room or a particular situation, in multiple compositions to create light scenes important in larger spaces.
