Mesh Ø80 is a beautiful suspension lamp designed by Francisco Gomez Paz for Luceplan.
“I decided to create a lamp starting from this spatial decomposition capabilities of LEDs, distributing them in order to optimize the diffusion of light but above all with the intention to donate to each of these bright spots independence.
I wanted to create a lamp with capacity to manage the location and the amount of light, a flexible object able to fit in the space and the needs of the user.To organize the breakdown of the bright spots I used parameters similar to those identified by Fibonacci in nature, such as the arrangement of seeds in the sunflower, the showy spots as the eye in the form of the male peacock’s tail or the leaf rosette cabbage. A precise sequence that inspired me in the light distribution in space.” Francisco Gomez Paz
Hanging lamp can offer many customizable lighting scenarios for both aesthetic and functional requirements. Born from experimentation around the potential of LED technology which allows it to be broken down into small units, Mesh is a bright scenic design and highly innovative. The lightweight, almost transparent, composed of a network of metal cables which are positioned at the intersection of LED light sources, hides the complexity of the product and, dematerializing, leaves room only in the light, only true star of the lamp. A poetic creation by the strong impact that offers the opportunity to recreate a refined and evocative.
The particular structure of the lamp allows exceptional freedom in the management of the luminance: it is in fact possible to control the intensity of the light and choose which illuminate areas – an upper ring, the lower zone, a lateral sector. Because of its versatility and showmanship, Mesh is perfectly suited to both domestic environments that contract solutions.
